Gaudapada rejects no kind of knowledge or experience. Verses of the Mandukya Upanishad are traditionally associated with Verses of the Gaudapada Karika. The Sruti passage, Sftflff 3. Those who think of the process of creation believe it to be the manifestation of the superhuman power of God’, while others look upon it mandjkya of the same nature as upanishax and illusion.
Others contemplating the mamdukya of this existence attribute the appearance of the universe to the same forms of delusion or illusion that manifest objects in dreams or other conscious states.
That we see duality is due to our ignorance of the true nature of Reality which is non-dual Brahman. It Self is birthless, because it is beyond cause and effect and because it has none of the characteristics 7 such as birth, etc.
For the state of inactivity is as harmful as the state of desires.
The meaning is this: Search the history of over billion web pages on the Internet. An imaginary tiger or the one seen in the dream cannot harm its perceiver. Again, if it is said that the effect is produced upanjshad a cause which hpanishad is born, then this leads to an infinite regress.
But Turiya is ever existent and all—seeing. In this way, states the Upanishad, the syllable Om is the Atman the self indeed.

With the cessation of the activity known as memory, 7 the perceiver in the waking and dream states is unified 8 with Prajna in the Akdsa of the heart and becomes 9 verily a mass 10 of consciousness, because there is, then, a cessation of mental activities.
Ranade calls the aphoristic style of Mandukya Upanishad as highly influential on the Sutras of Indian philosophies that followed it, and that the Upanishad has served as a foundational text of the major Vedanta school of Hinduism. Thus both experiences, having a beginning and an end, are unreal.

Without the experience of dreams or sensory input there is upaniehad to differentiate within consciousness. From the stand- point of dream, dream objects are as gross and material as those experienced in the waking state. And if a person, after realising the Absolute Brahman, is to come back to the state of duality, then Jndnam or liberation would mqndukya impermanent. Even the views of his opponents, he welcomes and accepts as parts of the knowledge that leads to the attainment of truth and Ultimate Truth.
The non-cognition of duality is common to both Prajna and Turiya.
This dualistic understanding is seen by the non-dual philosophy of Advaita as being due to their their attention or discrimination being captured within creation.

The second chapter seeks rationally 15 to demonstrate the unreality of duality ; the illusion duality being destroyed, the knowledge of non-duality becomes evidentas the cessation of the imagination of snake, etc. Gaudapada’s influential Vedanta text consists of four chapters; Chapter One, Two and Three of which are entirely Vedantin and founded on the Upanishads, with little Buddhist flavor. The fourth chapter is devoted to the rational refutation of the other schools of thought which are antagonistic to the truth as pointed out in the Vedas and which are opposed to the knowledge of the Advaitic Reality, by pointing out their falsity on account of their own mutual 17 contradiction.
Mandikya is it to be tested? Like the same rope mistaken as snake, garland, etc. The Prajna, thus described, is the third quarter. We have not seen Sankara anywhere declaring the reality of both the states, from the standpoint of Ultimate Truth.
This is, however, a point for the student of history of literature.

The two results are simul- taneous — and not successive in time as the language seems to imply. He thinks that before the creation all was of the same nature as the birthless Reality.
The meaning here is that this material Universe was created. As stated earlier, The point is, which quarter is the One quarter that knows all other quarters or states, but at the same time is unknown by those three states? Therefore the bondage in the form of causal condition does not exist in Turiya.
If the perceived manifold were real then cerTainly it would disappear. What is it that Alone Truly Exists?
Muktikopanishad aptly describes that Mdndukya alone, among the Upanishads, is -sufficient for liberation the attainment of truth. The Atman is the witness not only of the three states but also of their cognizers, viz. For, it is the substratum of all imaginations such as, Praria, etc. AUM, the word, is all this, the whole universe. One cannot accuse a modern philosopher if he uses the arguments of modern science in order to refute the contentions of his opponents or establish his own position.
The kari,a fundamental problems of philosophy, according to this special upanishqd are, 1 the mahdukya of the external material and the internal mental worlds ; 2 the nature of consciousness ; and 3 the meaning of causality. Arjuna after realizing the Vedantic Truth did not flee away from the world, but girded his loins with fresh vigour and strength to discharge his duty svadharma.
For ; in the state of deep sleep, there does not exist, as in the two other states, any desire or the dream experi- ence whose characteristic is to take a thing for what it is not.
