I think this was beautifully written, staying mainly within the character’s head and nowhere else. No matter how smart or mature Josie might have been, her s Grade: It leads her to out-of-control eating habits and eventually a hospital.

Life-Size by Jenefer Shute. The writing, while at times sarcastically witty, sounded for the most part like an adult writing and failing to sound like a teen. Some parts are difficult to read emotionally and can be triggering but it is an honest approach to the subject.

She has a distorted perception of what she looks lifd and although she accepts that she looks frail, she aspires to be even thinner. She is unapologetic, and strives to starve herself until almost the final pages of the novel this detail will not spoil the book for you, I promise.
